The notification for elections of 55 Rajya Sabha seats across the country is now released. The polling for filling up these seats will take place on February 7th and the nominations for contesting these seats will be accepted from today to January 28th. Polling will be held in Andhra Pradesh for 6 Rajya Sabha seats. Going by the current strength of parties in the assembly, Congress will surely bag 3 seats while major opposition party, TDP will bag 2 seats.
TRS, YSRCP, Communists do not have chances to win a seat with their MLA seats as of now. But the parties are fancying their chances by putting up candidates resting hopes on Cross voting and other parties help. The elections will be highly interesting as several MLA are planning to shift loyalties just before 2014 elections.
