Now a film on Rohit Vemula

Every one are aware of the suicide case of Rohit Vemula which shook the entire nation. While the controversy is just dying down, a group of students from the Sarojini Naidu School of Arts and Communication are making a documentary on the last days in the life of the research scholar. The documentary is reportedly 25 minutes long.

The students are making it as a part of their final semester project. The makers of the documentary are planning to explore his past life, what he spoke about and what happened in the 48-72 hours before he took the drastic step of committing suicide. They will be meeting everyone who spent some time with Rohith Vemula in his last days.

The students have a month’s time to present the documentary. There are several controversy around Rohit that he is a supporter of terrorists and have faked his caste even though he is not a dalit, and so some people are claiming that it is not fair to make a hero out of him with such films.
