NRI Couple Jailed For Income Tax Offense in California

An Indian origin couple Virendra Maharaj and his wife Rosalin from California conspired to defame the United States by trying to skip IRS tax.

Reportedly, the US government cracked the tax-related offense case of the couple and sentenced them a week ago for the same.

Reports suggest that Virendra and his wife skipped $605,000 in restitution. Virendra Maharaj was sentenced to one year in prison for failing to file tax returns with the US Treasury. Virendra who is engaged in a business has willingly skipped the taxes due to which he was sentenced to prison.

On the other hand, Virendra Maharaj’s wife Rosalin who planned a conspiracy against Internal Revenue Service by cheating the United States was sentenced to prison for 24 months.
