AP Govt to Build NTR Statue Near Amaravati

The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to build an NTR statue near Amaravati. The structure will rise 200 feet on a 100-foot base, set atop the 300-foot Neerukonda hill.

Together, the height will reach 600 feet, offering a stunning view. The base will house a museum on NTR, the legendary actor and TDP founder. It will also feature a mini theatre and a convention centre.

Escalators and lifts will provide access. At present, the government has invited DPR tenders. Earlier, a consultancy was hired to design the statue and plan development of the surrounding area.

The consultancy is now carrying out soil testing and surveys. It has prepared 10 models, and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will choose the final design.

The government wants this memorial to stand as a grand tribute to NTR, the man who brought Telugu pride to national recognition.
