‘Number 2’ Bomb on YSR Congress

YSR Congress had officially announced that Auditor, accused in all Jagan cases and Party’s Chief Secretary, Vijaya Sai Reddy will be its Rajya Sabha elections candidate. He also filed his nomination a little while ago. Even though this is an expected move, it did not go well with the party leaders themselves.

Vijaya Sai Reddy who has no political experience was brought in to the party after 2014 elections and was given Number 2 Position by making him Chief Secretary of the party. Several seniors in the party did not like his authority right from the start. And now they are not at happy with making him Rajya Sabha MP candidate.

Usually as Opposition party, any party will have very less number of nominated posts which have to be filled with loyalists to make sure the party is strong. But given such plum posts, on personal compulsion, ignoring those worked for the party is not going on well with the seniors. They say this move may pave way for more defections from the party.
