Official punished for Center’s meager Hudhud help!

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has taken the issue of Center’s meager Hudhud help. Chandrababu has found that Sukumar, Ex-Officio Secretary of Disaster Management department failed to efficiently give the information required by the Center and also failed to demonstrate the damage before the Union government’s officials. Chandrababu has decided to transfer Sukumar to a non-important department for this offence.

It is known that Andhra Pradesh government has estimated the losses of 21908 Crore incurred due to the cyclone but the Center just agreed to give 800 Crore. e. It is known that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced an interim relief of 1000 Crore during his Visakhapatnam visit. The state officials urged the center to at least announce the 1000 Crore promised to which the center declined.

The Prime Minister’s Relief works urged the state officials to reach out each of the ministries for department wise help which may or may not approve. The state government more or less decided that this will be the final amount. It may be reminded that the Center did not even announce Hudhud Cyclone as National disaster.
