Officially Announced: Jayalalithaa Is No More

Puratchi Thalaivi Jayalalithaa is now officially no more. After 75 days of hospital stay, numerous rumours and prayers, the Iron Lady who is known to be a fighter all her life, gave up finally. After so much of drama for the last 48 hours, the bad news was delivered at the stroke of midnight.

The entire Apollo Hospital area was cordoned off and her mortal remains were transported to Poes Garden, where Jayalalithaa’s Residence is located. Before that, the entire state was taken into control by Paramilitary and Local Police to avoid any untoward incidents

Reports are emerging that O Paneer Selvam, the loyalist of Jayalalithaa will be her heir. He is the one who would be nominated always in Jaya’s place whenever in trouble. He is expected to take oath immediately in the place of the departed leader.

Tamil Nadu, in fact, the entire country will mourn the loss to Indian Politics. Jayalalithaa is one politician who left an everlasting mark on Indian politics.
