Officials scarcity hit Land Pooling!

Capital Region Development Agency (CRDA) which is assigned the duty of pooling lands for the upcoming state capital is hit by the scarcity of officials. Government already assigned 34 deputy collectors to take up the task but out of those 34, only 11 deputy collectors reported to CRDA so far. Few of them are posted as Election Returning officers and will not be reporting till 25th of this month.

There are 27 teams working for the land pooling in the capital region. There is also scarcity in Tahsildars, deputy Tahsildars, Surveyors etc which is crippling the work.
Even though farmers are ready to give their lands, insufficient staff is causing troubles to take the agreement letters from them in required formats.

Earlier the state government has set a target of completing land pooling as much as possible by Sankranthi but the work is expected to speed up only towards the end of the month when the posted employees report to CRDA.
