Once a King Maker, Naidu continues to yield

It is reliably learnt that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP Supremo Chandrababu Naidu had agreed to give one of his Rajya Sabha seat to accomodate BJP’s Venkaiah Naidu. TDP is getting three seats in June and will be giving one of those to Venkaiah.

Earlier, Naidu also gave a seat to BJP’s Nirmala Sitaraman. This is despite heavy demand for Rajya Sabha seats within TDP. But Naidu has no option left since he has to please BJP for getting better allocations.

Venkaiah will be very soon completing his second Rajya Sabha term. It is a rule in BJP that no leader is given a third term. So Naidu has to accomodate him. However TDP fans will be disappointed to see Naidu yielding to center after once he is a kingmaker there during Vajpayee’s time.
