Former Macherla MLA Pinnelli Rama Krishna Reddy’s key follower Turaka Kishore has been arrested. He has gone absconding every since the Government changed in Andhra Pradesh.
In 2020, Turaka Kishore attacked Bonda Uma and Buddha Venkanna in Macherla during local body elections. They were going to Veldurthy Mandal where the nomination of a TDP ZPTC aspirant was rejected.
Pinnelli and his men could not digest filing a nomination in the constituency and either terrorized the candidates or ensured that their nominations were rejected on technical grounds.
AP police arrested Kishore in Hyderabad. Back then, there was a photo of Turaka Kishore hurling a big wooden log window panes of the car of Uma and Venkanna running after the car. The Picture was an iconic photograph illustrating the anarchic rule of Jagan Mohan Reddy and the turbulent times TDP has faced.
For this rowdy behavior, Turaka Kishore was rewarded with the Macherla Municipality Chairman post. The case was diluted during the Jagan’s regime and was taken seriously only after the Government changed.
Like the arrests of Varra Ravindra Reddy and Inturi Ravi Kiran, the TDP cadre will welcome this arrest.
Interestingly, Pinnelli was arrested in a case of damaging the EVM in the Assembly elections. Later, he was out on Bail.
He had become completely silent and there was no movement from the Government regarding the cases of his atrocities in the last five years. Pinnelli’s brother had also absconded since the election results.
The TDP cadre are however happy at least Turaka Kishore is arrested and they wish he does not get bail any sooner.
We will have to see if this will lead to the arrest of Pinnelli as well in the days to come.
