One Problem – Different Reasons for Jagan and Chandrababu

Tomorrow is the last date for the nominations for Kurnool MLC By-Elections but the main parties – TDP and YSR Congress are yet to announce a candidate for this election. This by-election is necessitated due to the resignation of Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy who joined YSRCP from TDP.

Both the parties have a peculiar problem to select a candidate. YSR Congress is struggling to find a candidate as Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy himself is reluctant to contest. Gouru Venkat Reddy who lost against Shilpa back then is also not interested.

This is almost a guaranteed TDP seat and so no one from YSR Congress is interested. On the other side, TDP has too many aspirants for the single seat. Chandrababu Naidu is brainstorming for the last couple of days to finalize a candidate.

At least half a dozen leaders are in the race for the ticket and everyone is keen on getting that since a win is almost guaranteed. The announcement may come midnight today or tomorrow only after arriving a consensus among all the leaders.
