One Shot Two Birds for Jagan Mohan Reddy

After the empathetic victory in the local polls, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Government is back with vengeance. The second day after the results of the municipal elections, the Government speed up the Amaravati lands scam case. It has now reached former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

AP CID police have gone to Naidu’s residence in Hyderabad and served him notices under 41A CrPC asking him to appear before them from questioning. Naidu is one of the accused in the case registered under Section 120 B (conspiracy) and Sections 166, 167 and 217 of the IPC, read with Prohibition of Assigned Lands Alienation Act of 1977 and the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act.

Naidu was in dual capacity as the Chief Minister back then and also the Chairman of AP CRDA. Former Minister P Narayana is also served a similar notice. Jagan is emboldened by the fact it has got favorable result in Krishna and Guntur districts where the Amaravati effect should have been.

At this moment, Jagan Mohan Reddy wants a closure on the Amaravati issue and also hit Chandrababu Naidu. The Chief Minister always believed Naidu conspired with the then Congress Government to send him to jail and wants to do the same to Naidu. He also believe that ending Amaravati will mean hitting the finances of TDP. In a way, it is one shot two birds for Jagan Mohan Reddy.
