The district Collector will take a decision on that by verifying the rules. Opposition Parties are demanding that the nomination should not be accepted as it violates the rules. If it is rejected, TRS will be losing one seat and this will be a massive set back for the Pink Party.

Rekha Nayak won the 2014 elections over the TDP candidate with a whopping 38,511 votes. Former MP Ramesh Rathod is contesting from Congress there. Ramesh Rathod who is previously in Congress later joined TRS after 2014 elections. After not getting the seat from TRS, he shifted to Congress to get the Ticket.
