
Of late, we have been witnessing many cases in the country where youngsters are committing suicide after losing money in online gaming apps.
In a similar incident, a software engineer from the Karimnagar district committed suicide after losing around 12 lakhs in online gaming apps.
Getting into details, 25-year-old Pruthvi started working in an IT company in Hyderabad last year. He hails from Gangadhara town in the Karimnagar district.
He got transferred to Noida two months ago. He used to stay in a flat along with his friends. Meanwhile, a few people whom Pruthvi met online, pushed him into online gaming apps.
Eventually, Prithvi got addicted to these games and started taking debts from his friends. He took a debt of around Rs. 12 lakhs for the same and lost all the money in the gaming in just four days.
Depressed by it, Prithvi stopped going to the office for the last 15 days and has been constantly worried about how to pay back the money.
With no option left, he committed suicide last Saturday when there was no one in the flat. The Noida police have filed the case and are making arrangements to bring Prithvi’s mortal remains to his hometown.
