Over-speeding? New rule on cards in 'T'!

Telangana government had decided to deal traffic offenders with iron fist. The state government is planning to immediate cancellation of driving license for talking on the phone while driving and over-speeding. Hyderabad is seen 700 cases of dangerous driving and nearly 8000 cases of overspeeding every month.

These offenders are not being deterred by imposing fines and so the government is planning cancellation of driving licenses for offences like over-speeding, overloaded goods vehicles or persons in goods vehicles, driving under the influence of alcohol and mobile phone driving.

The transport department is now working on various modalities before the new law comes into place within the next few weeks. 74 per cent accidents in the state occured due to drink-driving and over-speeding and last year along there are 6900 accidents in Telangana.
