Here’s 2017 Padma Awards List

The winners of Padma Awards which are given on the Republic Day every year are shortlisted. 125 members will be given Padma awards in different categories. The nominations have been taken in the last year and in December the ministry shortlisted the awardees.

MS Dhoni who was awarded Padmashri in 2009 has been listed for Padma Bhushan this year while Virat Kohli has been shortlisted for Padmashri 2017. PV Sindhu is also under the Padma Bhushan list. Legendary singer KJ Yesudas has been listed for Padma Vibhushan. Singer Sonu Nigam and Director Rishi Kapoor have been selected for Padma Bhushan award.

The nominations for the awards have been taken online this year and about 5000 nominations out of which 125 were listed for the awards. The awardees would be honored with their respective awards on the Republic Day.
