Panneer Selvam’s Appointment Temporary?

O Panneer Selvam who had stepped into Jayalalithaa‘s shoes twice earlier when she was convicted in corruption cases, was once again the Chief Minister’s Choice after her demise. But then reports emerging from Tamil Political Circles suggests that the appointment is just temporary.

We are told that Jayalalithaa’s close aide, Sasikala was a natural choice but then she hesitated to take the reins because of the pending corruption cases. Sasikala along with Jayalalithaa is also the accused in this case and the final judgment of this case is round the corner.

Sasikala was appointed Party’s General Secretary after Jayalalithaa’s demise. Interestingly, Late MGR and Jayalalithaa also traveled in two boats as Party’s General Secretary and Chief Ministers. So, that may be the indication of things to come.
