Paperless GHMC creates a record!

It is known to our readers that the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation became the first paperless Municipal Corporation in the country. The paperless office began in November and it is showing wonderful results already. Files which took months for clearance earlier are now being cleared in a week. GHMC officials have cleared 625 files in November and a whopping 9199 files in December. This is a new record in the history of GHMC.

It is observed that the availability of all the files at mouse click has prompted quickness in the clearance of files. Many employees are even starting the work as early as 7.30AM in the morning and working even at 10PM in the nights at their homes.

Citizens who are approaching GHMC for various works are submitting their email ids and mobiles numbers along with their applications. The corporation is giving them regular updates of the work progress. With this system in place, applicant need to come only to the office when his work is complete and the official order is ready for pickup. With this system in place, the visitor density in the corporation offices also came down significantly.
