Parakala appointed as Media Advisor of CBN

Parakala Prabhakar was appointed as the media advisor of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu. Parakala Prabhakar hogged the lime light in the past 10 years for two reasons. He was one of the founder members of Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam Party and the party’s fall began with Parakala just coming out of the party before allegations making ‘tickets for sale’ allegations.

Parakala also played an active role in the Samayikya Andhra movement. He represented the movement in various TV programmes and revealed how Seema Andhra was not responsible for Telangana’s under development. Parakala’s wife, Nirmala Sitaraman is currently Union Minister of Commerce and industry (independent charge). She was nominated to Rajya Sabha from AP from a Rajya Sabha seat which TDP could have win very easily. Parakala’s appointment will also make Nirmala Sitaraman more friendly to AP’s prospects.
