Patrol Aircraft to Be Made Museum at AP Beach

Indian Navy Aircraft which served the navy for about 29 years has permanently retired and the AP government is going to shift the aircraft to the beach road to convert the same into a museum.

The Aircraft has been decommissioned last week at the air station of Indian Navy at Arakkonam in Tamilnadu. On Saturday the long-range maritime patrol aircraft, TU-142M flew for the last time from INS Rajali at Arakkonam to Vishakapatnam which was received with all the due respect by the AP CM, Chandrababu Naidu and the Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapati Raju along with the other officials at INS Dega.

The five crew members of the Aircraft were greeted well and received by the CM as they landed at INS Dega. Arrangements are in the process to install the aircraft as a museum at the beach road near Kursura submarine museum.

The museum is expected to be operational in June after they dismantle and rearrange the aircraft for visiting.
