Pawan Kalyan in for Yet Another ‘In the Larger Interests of the Public’ Decision

Even as the so-called committee to decide who will contest the Tirupati by-election is to be appointed, BJP had started its groundwork in Tirupati. One leader each is appointed as in-charge to all the Forty-Five mandals of Tirupati Lok Sabha constituency

State-level leaders are appointed to oversee the campaign. Booth committees were appointed in all the forty-five mandals and BJP is organizing a big rally in the constituency tomorrow indicating that they are contesting the election. BJP co-in-charge Sunil Deodhar has camped in Tirupati and is supervising everything.

It looks like Pawan Kalyan already agreed to leave the seat for BJP or will have to adjust at the last minute for larger public interests like in the case of GHMC elections. Earlier this week, BJP leaders have met Pawan Kalyan at his Hyderabad residence.

On the other side, Janasena has zero organizational structure in Tirupati. Fans have come in big numbers when Pawan Kalyan toured the district last week but there is no mechanism to channelize the cadre. Neither there is an attempt to improve the organizational structure there. Pawan Kalyan should do a lot of catching up at least to be competitive with BJP in that aspect.
