Pawan Kalyan Does Not Know That Or Intentionally Ignoring?

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s emotion filled speech the other day in Tirupati, once again instigated ‘Special Status’ sentiment in the people and it will only become intense in the coming days. Pawan Kalyan unexpectedly did not go hard on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu but at one stage even acknowledged that Naidu is working hard for the state.

However, Pawan Kalyan found fault with TDP’s soft approach towards the issue. As an emotional commoner in the state, Pawan Kalyan wants Naidu to take the center head on and come out of the NDA government in the name of ‘Self Respect’. But then, if someone asks, is get Special Status with that, the answer would be NO.

They will trouble the state by cutting down funds and delaying permissions for Polavaram and Amaravati. BJP is not dependent on AP at the center and would not mind TDP quitting NDA. Even if TDP did that, there is a party right in our backyard to support the center. Special Status for Andhra Pradesh is being denied only for political purposes. BJP will give that only if they think they have a political need.

Modi is a really powerful man today and he can not be pushed to give the Special Status. Congress which had stakes in AP did not care for the state and looked at its other state options for the bifurcation. But BJP has nothing to lose here and so need not worry about any agitation. Special Status issue at most can bring political benefit to regional players like Pawan Kalyan. It is not known if Pawan Kalyan does not know that or is ignoring that intentionally.
