Pawan Kalyan Played it Safe in Karnataka?

Janasena President Pawan Kalyan did not involve himself in the Karnataka Assembly Elections. There are rumours that he will be campaigning on the behalf of JDS due to his close relationship with Former Chief Minister, HD Kumara Swamy.

JDS hoped that Pawan who has been training his guns at the BJP over special category status to Andhra Pradesh would find a reason to target the saffron party in the state. However, reports of a secret deal between the BJP and the JD(S) have put a question mark over Pawan’s plans.

He dropped the campaigning idea since it would send a wrong signal in Andhra Pradesh if BJP and JDS tie up post the elections in the neighboring state. With more than One Crore Telugu population residing in Karnataka, all eyes are on their decision in the election.

Except for TDP, no other party from Andhra Pradesh called for the defeat of BJP in the election. Interestingly, some YSR Congress Leaders have supported BJP in Bellary. Gali Janardhan Reddy’s aides have got significant tickets from BJP in this election and so YSR Congress leaders have helped them there.
