Special Status and Mudragada Tension for AP – Where Will It Lead To?

Jana Sena President Pawan Kalyan extended his support to a protest at RK Beach, Vishakapatnam on January 26th demanding Special Status to Andhra Pradesh. This is a protest inspired by the Jallikattu Protests in Marina Beach, Chennai. But then, the timing of the protest seems to be extremely bad. It will be a day before the CII Partnership Summit in Vishakapatnam.

Any untoward incident there will badly hurt the investor sentiment. Already Kapu Strongman, Mudragada Padmanabham had announced a walkathon on 25th for Kapu Reservations. If the protests in RK Beach take some unruly or violent turn, it will badly damage the image of the state and Vishakapatnam.

And then, Pawan Kalyan who earlier called for ‘Silent Protests’ is knowingly or unknowingly pushing the people to the edge with slogans like ‘Thiragabatham’, ‘Medalu Vanchutham’, ‘Kindha Koorchobedatham’ and the famous Madrasis sentiment.

This may lead the mob towards violence which is a problem not only for the people in the movement but also the state as a whole. But then one can not refuse to lend support for a movement which is demanding a genuine cause. But then we can only hope it happens right and achieves the target.
