Pawan Kalyan Starts Double Talk on Amaravati Like BJP

Janasena President Pawan Kalyan gave an exclusive interview to Eenadu Newspaper today. Pawan Kalyan seems to be following BJP’s tested political formula ‘Confuse if not Convince’ on the Amaravati issue. He seems to be buying the dual stand of the BJP on Amaravati.

“BJP Leadership has confirmed to me that Amaravati is the capital, according to them. They extended complete support to my idea of Amaravati to be the sole capital of Andhra Pradesh. However, Center has role in deciding the capital according to the constituency. We should see BJP and the Central Government as two different entities,” he said.

The same Pawan Kalyan announced that he allied with BJP so as to stop the capital trifurcation. Pawan Kalyan sounded like he is not taking ground for Amaravati farmers. “It is not an individual’s responsibility. Everyone should take collective responsibility. All parties should come together,” he added.

“Amaravati problem should not be the issue of the twenty nine villages. It should be the issue of the entire state. There is no one who could dispel the propaganda on Amaravati,” said Pawan Kalyan. Interestingly, Pawan Kalyan has launched IYR Krishnarao’s Book “Evari Rajadhani Amaravati?” – a Propaganda Book confining Amaravati to one caste. Going by the interview, it looks like Pawan Kalyan is going to just offer lip service to Amaravati agitation like BJP while doing nothing to stop it.
