Following this, the Telangana police are trying to deport Prabhakar Rao to India. According to reports, the main accused in phone tapping case, Prabhakar Rao, is moving heaven and earth to bail himself out of the case.
Accordingly, he had filed a plea on November 29, 2024, saying that the Telangana government was seeking political vendetta. He requested the American government to be considered as a political refugee on those grounds.
The US government heard the petition and dismissed it, giving a huge shock to Prabhakar Rao. They made it clear that he will not be provided asylum in their country. Now, Prabhakar Rao will be forced to return to India.
