India has become a financial powerhouse in recent years and the net worth of Indian top businessmen finds them a place in world-class financial surveys.
Indian businessmen despite their riches can be classified into different strata based on their worth. While the creme de la creme fall into the above $100B strata, the next in order come those between $30B and $100B.
The next category is $10B to $30B. After that comes the $5B to $10B. The last category is the below $5B strata.
While names like Adani, Ambani, Mittal, Rahul Bajaj, Azim Premji are quite popular, the picture clearly gives an indication of the economic differences between the wealthier fraternity of India.
While Mukesh Ambani tops the list possessing $119.5B, Gautam Adani comes close at $116B. Sajjan Jindal and Shiv Nadar are way behind, though they are in the second strata with worth around $40B.
Lakshmi Mittal, Azim Premji, Rahul Bajaj are amongst those in the $10B to $30B.
