Pic Talk: Thullur farmers equate Naidu to God

In the picture is the Ganesh Procession in the exchange center of Thullur, one of the villages notified for Andhra Pradesh capital. In one horse cart, there is Lord Ganesh and in another they have a statue of NTR and a photo of Chandrababu Naidu. The villagers say selecting the area as the capital, is a game changer for their lives and NTR and Chandrababu are equal to God to them.

The state government had almost completed the land pooling in the capital. The farmers who were initially reluctant to the land pooling and land acquisition also softened their stand and gave their lands. Only some minor land portions are left now. The government will now only take the areas disturbing the Master Plan in the land acquisition.
