
On October 16, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Kurnool, reaching at 11:15 am to offer prayers at the Sri Mallikarjuna Bhramarambika Temple in Srisailam, one of the 12 Jyothirlingas and 52 Shakti Peethas.
Later, he will visit the Shree Shivaji Spoorthi Kendra, a monument commemorating Chhatrapati Shivaji’s 1677 visit, which also features replicas of four of his royal forts. At 2:30 pm, Modi will address a massive public meeting, followed by the launch and foundation of several key projects.
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the Transmission System Strengthening Project worth ₹2,880 crore, featuring a 765 KV double-circuit line to boost renewable energy flow by 6,000 MVA. He will also launch Orvakal and Koparthy industrial projects, which are expected to bring ₹21,000 crore in investments and generate 1 lakh jobs.
Further, Modi will lay the foundation for the Sabbavaram-Sheelanagar Greenfield Highway costing ₹960 crore, along with six additional road projects worth ₹1,140 crore aimed at improving connectivity and reducing travel time.
He will also inaugurate railway projects worth ₹1,200 crore, including the Kottavalasa-Vizianagaram fourth line, a rail flyover at Pendurthi-Simhachalam, and the doubling of key routes to enhance rail efficiency.
Additionally, Modi will dedicate the GAIL Srikakulam Angul gas pipeline worth ₹1,730 crore and the IOC LPG plant in Chittoor valued at ₹200 crore to strengthen the state’s energy infrastructure. He will also inaugurate the Bharat Electronics Advanced Night Vision Products Factory in Krishna district, built at a cost of ₹360 crore, to boost defence manufacturing and skilled employment in Andhra Pradesh.
