Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar has invoked the POCSO Act against two YouTube channels, Viral Hub YT and E96 TV. The action follows complaints that the channels created indecent interview videos featuring minors to gain online viewership.
An FIR was registered on October 16, 2025. Sajjanar shared the details on his X handle, along with his earlier advisory condemning child exploitation on social media. He also posted blurred video clips showing minors being asked personal questions about relationships and family matters.
Parents had recently expressed concerns over social media chat bots prompting minors to discuss inappropriate or sensual topics. Sajjanar’s move is being seen as a much-needed step towards regulating irresponsible online behaviour.
Parents are now calling for wider enforcement against similar violations, including Instagram scams and toxic fan wars. The incident has once again raised questions about child safety and content accountability across Telangana and the rest of India.
