Polavaram funds diverted, BJP alleges

Andhra Pradesh BJP Incharge Siddharth Singh alleged that the funds given by the Center for Polavaram are diverted to other projects like Pattiseema. He also said that an audit is going on over this. However this seem to be a hollow claim as Central government did not even reimburse half of the amount spent by AP government on the project.

Central government only allotted a paltry 100 Crore each for the project in the two budgets tabled so far. The state government spent about 2000 Crore for Pattiseema project. But center did not even give at least 1000 Crore for Polavaram and in that case there can not be a question of diversion.

Further the state government claims that Pattiseema project is an integral part of Polavaram Project. Pattiseema is necessiated since the state government do not see Center completing Polavaram in time. BJP seem to be trying to divert the people’s attention by making hollow claims.
