Polavaram Funds Held Up For Strange Reason?

Strange are the Problems being faced by Andhra Pradesh. The State Government is struggling to complete Polavaram Project with an insensitive central government. Despite the tight finances, the state is spending money first and the Center is reimbursing that later taking its own time.

Recently, Center had cleared bills of 318 Crore and these funds are to be released from NABARD. While the state government is waiting for these funds, NABARD has stopped the disbursement for a strange reason. The reason is that NABARD disburses loans only which are minimum of 500 Crore.

So, the funds will be released only when Center clears the other bills and the quantum is more than 500 Crore. These technical delays are only mounting up to the woes of the state government which is struggling to meet its monthly expenses.
