Polavaram New Contractors Among Top 99 Richest Indians

Our readers are aware that Megha Engineering Infrastructure Limited (MEIL) is the frontrunner for bagging Polavaram Remaining Dam Works and Hydel Project Contract in Reverse Tendering. MEIL’s P Pitchi Reddy with a net worth of 13,400 Crore and MD, PV Krishna Reddy with a net worth of 12,900 Crore are among Top 99 Richest Indians.

Pitchi Reddy and Krishna Reddy have secured 57th and 63rd spots in the list. Megha Engineering Infrastructure Limited (MEIL) is undertaking most of the major irrigation and infrastructure projects in both the Telugu States. This list ‘IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List’ was compiled by the Hurun Research Institute for leading financial services company, IIFL.

Two other Telugus have also found their names on the list. They are industrialists Divi Satchandra Kiran and Nilima Mohantapanti of Divi Laboratories. They are in 83rd and 89th places. All the four are based out of Hyderabad.

Reliance Industries’ chairman Mukesh Ambani topped the list for the eighth consecutive year, with a net worth of Rs 3,80,700 crore. The number of Indians with a net worth of more than Rs 1,000 crore has grown to 953 this year from 831 in 2018.
