Narayana: Cutthroat Businessman To Cadre Favorite!

Ponguru Narayana, the Chairman of Narayana Educational Institutions. There is a widespread opinion that Narayana has been a cut-throat businessman over the years. He is very close to TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu and always helps the party with funding and back-office work.

Narayana forayed into active politics when Chandrababu Naidu made him a Minister via the Council. He was entrusted with the duty of Amaravati and land-pooling which he did sincerely.

In the 2019 elections, he contested for the Nellore City Assembly but lost with a slender margin.

Narayana’s lack of connection with the cadre proved costly in that election. Since then, he has been a changed man. He helped the cadre in all possible ways between 2019 and 2024.

In the recent election, he won from the same seat with the bumper majority.

After the elections, he announced a cadre welfare fund with a 10 Crore Rupees Corpus. He also extended free medical treatment to all the cadres in his hospital.

And very recently, Narayana gave away 2 Crore rupees for Liquor Shop tenders.

He applied for 100 Liquor shops paying 2 Lakh Rupees application fee for each shop.

The shops that he gets in the lottery will go to the most active and needy cadre in the constituency so that they become financially independent.

Narayana is proving to be the most cadre-friendly MLA. The cadres of other constituencies would also want a leader like him.
