Poor Planning for KCR’s Global Hyderabad dream!

The State Government’s Prestigious Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) to transform Hyderabad in to Global City seem to be going directionless. The government had failed to design the project with out proper analysis. SRDP is being making changes to the plan without completing even basic studies required for such a project.

Recently Cyber Tower Junction is included in to SRDP even with out crucial details for the junction including traffic analysis details that would provide an idea of vehicular movement in each direction in a given area. This data is basic for the success of such huge and crucial project. The decisions are being made based on popular demands with out scientic analysis.

Interestingly, with out making any progress, the traffic police have imposed huge traffic curbs and diversion in several areas which is adding to the traffic woes. Already the city has become congested due to the ongoing Metro Rail Project works and now SRDP works are adding more mess on to the roads.
