Posh Malls of Hyderabad are Tax Defaulters

The Posh Malls in Hyderabad are not as posh as they appear. GHMC has identified three Malls in Hyderabad as defaulters of Property Tax. City Central Mall, Big Bazaar at Himayatnagar and Topaz Building at Somajiguda were served notices as they defaulted on paying property tax for two years.

Each mall houses over 150 stores which will be either sold or leased out by the developers. Each store will have a different property Tax Identification number. The mall owners say that each store has to be served Property Tax notices, not to them.

If the mall owners are not responding to the notices, GHMC will disconnect water and electricity connections. The Mall premises will be sealed after March 31st if they continue to default on the property as the financial years comes to an end.
