Prabhas Risking: Is It Worthy?

Usually, elite superstars, particularly pan-Indian stars devise a winning strategy and stick by it. They tend to only do action films that are packed with commercial ingredients. But in the case of Prabhas, it is a different case altogether as he has the tendency to risk it with his filmography.

After Baahubali, Prabhas did Saaho, an actioner with a newcomer Sujeeth. Then he did a love drama, Radhe Shyam. Then there was the mythological film, Adipurush which was followed by commercial potboiler Salaar. Now, he is at it with a futuristic adventure like Kalki.

If we take a loot at Prabhas’s filmography, the intention to deliver unique cinema to the audience has always been there.

But the issue has been that Prabhas has been trusting wrong men to try these peculiar subjects. Working with newcomers and relatively inexperienced men like Sujeeth, Radha Krishna and Om Raut backfired big time.

That being said, the effort that is being put into delivering a fresh cinema experience is the reason why Prabhas is to be appreciated.

In the case of Kalki, Prabhas has a mega support cast of Amitabh, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and others. The film appears to be a visual extravaganza as Nag Aswhin appears to be cooking something big this time around.

If Kalki succeeds on the global stage, it would mean a huge deal and go on to establish Prabhas’s effort to deliver something new every time. If effort matches results, there is no stopping Kalki which appears to have a universal subject.
