It is known to our readers that Political Strategist Prashant Kishor transformed his Jan Suraaj movement into a Political Party and announced contesting all the 243 Assembly seats in the 2025 Bihar elections.
As a precursor for it, Jan Suraaj fielded candidates in all the four seats that went to the by-elections in Bihar.
But then, the party was not able to open its account. Except for one seat (where it is in fourth place), the party was in third place in all the remaining seats.
It is not like the party was rejected or unrecognized by the people completely. But it is too far from making an impression on the Bihar’s political turf.
Meanwhile, Lalu Prasad Yadav’s RJD believes Jan Suraaj is the B-Team of the BJP.
Political Observers say Jan Suraaj may have eaten into the votes of RJD reasonably.
Prashant Kishor would have definitely hoped to win a seat or two but this result is not completely disappointing.
