Premiere educational institutes not possible in AP?

The state government and the Central government is planning setting up of 11 national-level premier institutes in AP, most of them according to the promises in the bifurcation bill. But setting up them easier said than done. Each of this institutes requires a minimum of 200 acre and agriculture universities needing 500 acre. But the major problem is finding so much of government land at any single place.

Solution for this problem is acquiring private lands and converting forest lands. Both of these tasks are extremely difficult. Environmental clearances are needed from the Union environment and forest ministry to convert forest lands and it is not easy to convince private parties to land acquisition with out having legal troubles. One more major challenge is the unavailability of expert faculty. As of today, only 4079 faculty positions are filled in the 6,591 existing faculty positions in the 15 IITs.
