President approves T-Bill and President Rule!

President of India Pranab Mukherjee had approved the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Bill-2014 a short while ago. As soon as the news is out, celebrations began in Telangana region. The President also signed the Union Cabinet’s recommendation for President’s Rule in Andhra Pradesh. As soon as President sends the note to Governor, President’s Rule will come in to effect and Governor will take care of the administration in the state.

This is only the second occasion in which AP came under President’s Rule. On the wake of Jai Andhra movement, President’s rule was imposed in AP from Jan 11,1973 to December 11,1973. On the other side, the notification for general elections will be out by in a couple of days. We will have to see if Andhra Pradesh will also go to polls along with the Parliament this summer!
