President Pranab Mukherjee’s wife is no more

resident of India, Pranab Mukherjee’s wife, Suvra Mukherjee breathed her last this morning. 57 years old Suvra was suffering from some liver related ailment for the last one month. She was admitted to Army hospital on Friday.

But finally succumbed to the illness at 10.51 AM. Pranab was on her side when this happened. Few days ago, her health deterioated when Pranab is in Odisha. He immediately cancelled his tour and went to her.

Suvra hails from Jessore now in Bangladesh. She was a graduate and worked as vocalist. She married Pranab in 1957. She founded and is leading Geetanjali Troupe’, whose mission is to propagate Rabindranath Tagore’s philosophy. We express our heartfelt condolences for the family.
