Prof Nageswar Stokes Castiest Remarks, Draws Flak

Ex MLC Prof Nageswar has created a storm with his comments. Usually, Telangana politics are dominated by Telangana fervor, instead of caste-based politics since the formation of Telangana.

But now, the fairly popular professor who is seen giving his opinions on various channels, has brought caste into the equation, creating discomfort among many.

The professor was doing his analysis on a news channel where he spoke about Reddys being an asset for Telangana politics. He went on to say that Reddys can influence entire villages.

The talkative professor did not stop there. He said Reddys, especially Telangana Reddys have it in their DNA to rule. Even if he has nothing, if a Reddy walks on the road, others ask him ‘how are you Patela’, he said.

Goes without saying, Prof Nageswar has been drawing criticism for bringing caste into the drawing rooms of people. They are expressing ire over him pushing aside Telangana sentiment and opening doors for caste politics.
