
It is known that YCP rebel MP Raghu Rama Krishna Raju had filed a case at the Supreme Court asking to speed up the investigation on YS Jagan’s disproportionate assets case. The court had even asked CBI the reason why this case is getting delayed so much.
Incidentally, Jagan’s legal counsel had filed a petition at the SC asking to dispose of the case filed by RRR to speed up the investigation on Jagan’s cases. They argued that YCP called for a suspension on RRR and that is the reason why he is rebelling against Jagan in this manner.
However, the apex court rejected the petition filed by Jagan’s lawyers. The court didn’t encourage another argument from Jagan’s lawyers where they said the Telangana High Court had also struck down RRR’s petition to speed up the CBI investigation on Jagan’s case and the apex court also should do the same.
The apex court said there is no merit in asking to dispose of the petition filed by the MP as it is a norm for the court to assess how the investigation is carried out. Meaning, RRR’s case at the Supreme Court will go ahead. The next hearing on this case is in April.
