Rahul Gandhi’s Padayatra gets nothing for Congress

Congress Party which is totally depleted after the state bifurcation is struggling for existence in the truncated state. Raghuveera Reddy, PCC President had been striving his level best to make an impact but only to realize people are not serious about Congress. They have brought Rahul Gandhi to Anantapur for a one day Padayatra to draw the attention of the people. However the Padayatra did not happen very easily for the party with Zero MLAs in AP Assembly.

Raghuveera men in Anantapur have distributing up to 2500 per person in some villages to congregate people for Rahul’s public meetings. They have written letters to Christian organizations requesting them to show the strength of ‘their man’. And above all, special fans meetings were held in all the districts by Chiranjeevi fans associations to bring people to show their ‘Annaya’s Strength’.

All in all, a massive exercise was done to show Congress is still politically relevant in Andhra Pradesh but it could not stop people protesting against the Congress Vice President in several places. Also the paid people gradually started drifting away as the temperature started soaring by afternoon. Finally neither the people nor the media took the Padayatra any serious!
