Railway Minister’s Coverup on Vishakapatnam Railway Zone

Andhra Pradesh BJP Leaders often say that Special Railway Zone in Vishakapatnam will happen for sure. But then, Union Railways Minister, Piyush Goyal says something very different and almost confirmed that it will not happen.

“People who are asking for the Railway Zone should read what is in the Reorganization Act. The act only says to see if there is a feasibility to establish a New Railway Zone. We said the same thing in the Parliament as well, Piyush said.

Earlier, Central Government also rejected Steel Plants in Bayyaram and Kadapa and said the same reason. Railway Zone is one of the Prime Promises of BJP to Andhra Pradesh and now that is conveniently forgotten. It happened with Special Status as well previously.
