Politics often witnesses leaders changing sides with time and circumstances. Goshamahal ex BJP MLA Raja Singh quit the BJP after openly expressing dissatisfaction over being ignored within the party and highlighting internal issues at the state level.
At the time of his resignation, Raja Singh spoke about factionalism in the Telangana BJP and demanded greater freedom for party MLAs. The BJP leadership accepted his resignation without much public response, bringing his association with the party to a temporary halt.
However, Raja Singh has now softened his stance amid strong rumours of his return to the Saffron party. He hinted that he would be returning home soon, comparing the BJP to a family that eventually reunites despite internal disputes.
Raja Singh stated that his return may not happen immediately but is inevitable in the future. He said he cannot confirm the timing, adding that good news will come when the moment is right and discussions move forward.
He made it clear that he would rejoin the BJP only after being approached by party leaders from Delhi. Raja Singh reiterated that his primary demand remains unchanged, seeking freedom for MLAs in the Assembly and within their constituencies.
According to him, granting autonomy to MLAs and MPs is crucial for the BJP to come to power in Telangana. He also expressed confidence that with such freedom, the party could effectively challenge the BRS, Congress, and MIM.
Since resigning, Raja Singh has stayed away from joining any other political party. Internal discussions within the Telangana BJP suggest that his talks with senior leaders have been positive and a return within a month is likely.
Raja Singh’s recent remarks have generated fresh buzz within the BJP and wider political circles. His possible comeback is now being closely watched, as it could impact the party’s future strategy in Telangana.
