Rajnath Singh responds on Governor’s rule!

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh may be the first from the center to respond on the ongoing controversy in Hyderabad. Rajnath Singh refused to comment on the Cash for Vote Scam but asserted that Union Home Secretary is taking stock of the situation in Hyderabad. Home Secretary Goyal is coming to Hyderabad to sit with both the governments.

He also added that the Home Secretary will also take a decision on the Section 8 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act. Section 8 of Reorganization Act give the responsibility of Law and Order in Hyderabad to the Governor during the period of the common capital.

AP government alleges that since Telangana government is operating the police force in Hyderabad, the security of AP MLAs, Ministers, their families and offices here is always under threat. Minister Achchenaidu said that they may even consider opening AP Police Stations in Hyderabad if Governor do not take over the law and order according to Section 8.
