Rajya Sabha seat to BJP – A blunder for Naidu?

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had allotted one Rajya Sabha seat to BJP withstanding heavy pressure from his own men. KE Prabhakar is already revolting against Naidu for not giving him a seat. But at the same time, seat to BJP is proving to be a blunder for Chandrababu.

It is evident that there is no change in Center’s insensitive attitude towards the state given the reports of diminishing revenue deficit and meager help for the state capital construction. Looks like sacrificing a Rajya Sabha seat, did not get any thing for the state and that could be a blunder now.

Seeing Center’s apathy towards the state, it looks like they want to force TDP out of the NDA government. In that case, TDP only reduced its bargaining power by giving a Rajya Sabha seat to BJP as the ruling party do not have numbers in Rajya Sabha to move crucial bills and this seat from TDP is a big bonus for them.
