The demand for the lands is higher in Krishna and Guntur districts. Even the land rates are phenomenally increased in West Godavari district. The capital district, Guntur recorded highest number of 2,07,366 land documents registered. Vishakapatnam becomes the attractive destination for real buyers as the revenue increased to Rs 513.81 crore, against the previous year’s Rs 480 crore. East Godavari district tops the list of e registrations. Srikakulam district stood at last position with only Rs. 68crore revenue.
Chittor, Nellore and Anantpur districts increased the land registration revenues by 50%. The increased number of revenues is due to the fact that increases of stamp duty rates from 4% to 5% and land registration fee also hiked from 0.5% to 1%.
