Real Reason Behind Sridhar’s Resignation

Cartoonist Sridhar has announced quitting from Eenadu the other day ending his association spanning over 40 years. This has come as a surprise for many and is also big news for obvious reasons. Both the parties did not make any statement regarding this.

Meanwhile, a source in the Eenadu gives us a hint about the resignation. “There is no fallout as speculated by some people. The separation has happened with mutual respect and on the grounds that Sridhar is not in the pink of the health for quite some time,” the source said.

“Sridhar garu underwent a second bypass surgery two years ago. Back then, he asked Ramoji Rao about retirement. ‘There is no retirement for me and for you’ – Ramoji Rao said. Sridhar was infected by Corona last year and it has taken a toll on his health further. Finally, Ramoji Rao agreed for the retirement,” the source added.

While the clarification is as such, some people are still not convinced as they feel the tone of Sridhar’s posts on Facebook about the resignation does not reflect parting ways on amicable terms. Furthermore, Eenadu did not publish anything about it in today’s Newspaper.
